Jet Black Drivers wants this site to be usable by as many people as possible — including people using a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, a phone, or the "reduce motion" setting on their device.

We aim at the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. We are not claiming certified conformance — the site has not been through a formal third-party audit. Below is an honest account of what was actually measured on August 28, 2026.

What was measured and corrected

Text contrast was computed against this page's actual background (#050505) using the WCAG relative-luminance formula, not estimated by eye:

Headings / gold (#E0BC72) measure 11.26:1.
Body text (#C9BBA8) measures 10.83:1.
Kickers / copper (#F08A45) measure 8.18:1.
Fine print (#9A9080) measures 6.48:1 — past the 4.5:1 minimum.
Dark type on gold buttons measures 10.11:1.
No pure white text anywhere on this site — every text role has its own measured color.

Movement

If your device asks for reduced motion, the site honours it: the lockup vapour does not run, and the scroll word-reveal shows every word lit from the start.
The hero video starts muted. Sound begins on a tap, click, scroll, or key — never on hover. It plays inline on iPhone (no hijack to fullscreen).
Nothing flashes, strobes, or blinks.

Keyboard and structure

A "Skip to content" link is the first thing a keyboard reaches.
Controls show a visible focus outline when tabbed to.
Headings run in order, so a screen reader can jump through the page by section.
The four rides are real tabs with one panel visible at a time. Hidden panels use the hidden attribute.
There is no language toggle on this site. The page is English.

The form

Every field has a real label, not just placeholder text.
Only name and service are required; date/time and notes are optional.
The page does not scroll sideways on a phone at 375 pixels wide.

What has not been checked

The contrast, motion, structure, and keyboard behaviour above were measured directly. The site has not been walked end to end with every screen reader and browser combination, and it has not been reviewed by an independent accessibility auditor. There may be problems we have not found.
